The Delhi government has announced plans to employ 10,000 Civil Defense Volunteers (CDVs) across the city to strengthen the implementation of anti-pollution measures. These volunteers will play a crucial role in supporting the city’s ongoing battle against pollution, especially during the peak winter months when air quality typically declines.

The CDVs will assist in enforcing pollution control regulations, monitor compliance with environmental guidelines, and raise public awareness about air quality improvement efforts. The government aims to tackle the pollution crisis head-on by increasing manpower and enhancing grassroots enforcement, ensuring that every measure to curb pollution is actively implemented.

This move is part of a broader strategy to safeguard public health and improve Delhi’s air quality.
