Jamshedpur: The district administration has launched a dedicated campaign to resolve traffic congestion issues in Mango. Acting on the directives of District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner, a large-scale encroachment removal drive was carried out from Dimna Chowk to Mango Chowk and the Mango Bridge.
The operation, led by ADM (Law and Order) Aniket Sachan and City SP Kumar Shivashish, involved the removal of temporary roadside vendors and extensions of permanent shops that were encroaching on public spaces. Magistrates, police officers, and police personnel were deployed to ensure the smooth execution of the drive.
The ADM and City SP inspected the traffic arrangements post-clearance and issued necessary instructions to maintain order. They emphasized the importance of freeing the roads for public safety and ensuring smoother vehicle movement. Vendors were strictly warned against returning to encroach on the cleared spaces, with clear instructions to operate only in designated areas. Legal action was assured for repeat offenders.
Assistant Municipal Commissioners Akib Javed and Arvind Agrawal from Mango Municipal Corporation supervised the encroachment removal efforts, supported by officers from Mango and Azadnagar police stations and an adequate police force.

1. Encroachment Removal: Temporary stalls and permanent shop extensions causing obstructions were removed. Vendors were instructed to operate in open, designated spaces to avoid risks and traffic disruptions.
