Shaurya Bhattacharya and Team Win Pro-Am Event at Tata Steel Tour Championship 2024

 

Jamshedpur – Delhi-based professional golfer Shaurya Bhattacharya and his team delivered a stellar performance to win the Pro-Am event of the Tata Steel Tour Championship 2024. Shaurya’s team, consisting of amateur players Shantanu Verma, Tamanna Jeet Singh, and Monika Lukatuka, secured victory with a total score of 52 

Faridabad professional Abhinav Lohan and his team finished as runners-up with a total score of 52.7. Abhinav’s team included amateur players Dr. Baljeet Singh, Dheeraj Jha, and Nipam Mehta. 

Special Achievements: 
– Closest to the Pin at Hole No. 1: Shri Sarjeet Jha, whose tee shot landed just **3 feet from the pin. 
– Closest to the Pin at Hole No. 17: Dr. Rita Jha, with a tee shot landing 14 feet 8 inches from the pin. 
– Straight Drive at Hole No. 8: Maya Chaudhary, who landed her shot precisely on the line drawn at the center of the fairway. 
– Straight Drive at Hole No. 14: Gaurav Roongta delivered an exceptional shot, landing just half an inch from the center of the fairway. 

In addition, Gaganjeet Bhullar won the professional putting competition held at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. Bhullar, the current champion of the Tata Steel Tour Championship, once again demonstrated his dominance on the course. 

The event highlighted the talent and precision of golfers, showcasing thrilling performances and competitive spirit in a world-class setting.
