Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced the postponement of the “Maiyan Samman” program scheduled for today as a mark of respect for the late former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
In a heartfelt message, the Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to the promises made to the people of Jharkhand. He assured that the government is delivering on its pledge to provide financial support to every “Maiyan” in the state.
Under this scheme, ₹2,500 will be deposited monthly into beneficiaries’ accounts, amounting to ₹30,000 annually, ensuring sustained financial assistance.
The Chief Minister’s initiative reflects his dedication to empowering the women of Jharkhand while paying tribute to one of the nation’s most respected leaders.
