A 40-year-old resident of Shantiniketan A- Block under Parsudih police station, identified as Ashish Chaudhary, was found dead in his room, having allegedly hanged himself. Neighbors discovered the body hanging from a ceiling fan and promptly informed the police.
Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene and, with the help of locals, retrieved the body before sending it for post-mortem examination.
According to neighbors, Ashish lived alone and had been reportedly battling depression for several days. Late in the evening, he is believed to have ended his life by hanging himself with a towel from the fan.
Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
