In a tragic incident from Jamshedpur, Tata Steel senior manager Krishna Kumar reportedly died by suicide along with his wife and two daughters. All four bodies were found hanging in a single room at their residence in Chitragupt Nagar, Gamharia.
According to reports, Krishna Kumar had been diagnosed with cancer just 16 days prior to the incident. His father, Suvinda Tiwari, said that the family didn’t open their door on Friday morning, which initially didn’t raise concern as they usually woke up late. He and his wife left for TMH hospital to collect medicines. Upon returning and still finding no response from the house, they feared something was wrong and informed the police.
Police broke open the door and found Krishna Kumar, his wife Dolly Devi (35), elder daughter Kriti Kumari (13), and younger daughter Maiya (7) hanging from the ceiling.
A suicide note was recovered from Krishna Kumar’s room, which reportedly mentioned financial matters. However, the police have not released detailed information about the note’s contents.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
