A Zilla Parishad school teacher in Maharashtra’s Latur has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing and stalking minor girls. He was chased and arrested. A police officer gave this information on Sunday.

The case was registered on Friday and Anna Sriranga Narasinghe was taken to court a day later.

MIDC police station official said that he (teacher) was attached to Zilla Parishad School in Harangul (Khurd) and was the in-charge headmaster before he was removed from the post due to complaints.

“He is accused of taking the dolls and expressing his love in an inappropriate manner,” the officer said. He is accused of allegedly massaging the feet and hands of 16 girls. This incident is happening since 2021. He also said that it was dangerous that if he told his ordeal to anyone, he would not get marks in the exam.

The official said that on the complaint of Block Education Officer Nivritti Jadhav, a FIR has been registered against the teacher under sections 75(2), 75(3), 78(2), 79 of the Indian Justice Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. Charges have been filed under harassment, stalking and other crimes.
