On Monday, February 17, 2025, the Adani Group announced a donation of ₹2,000 crore to build at least 20 schools across India. This initiative is part of the group’s broader commitment to philanthropic activities, following Chairman Gautam Adani’s earlier pledge of ₹10,000 crore during his younger son Jeet Adani’s wedding. Prior allocations included ₹6,000 crore for hospital construction and ₹2,000 crore for skill development programs.

The Adani Foundation, the group’s charitable arm, has partnered with GEMS Education, a leading private K-12 education provider, to establish these “temples of education” nationwide. The foundation stated that the initial ₹2,000 crore contribution aims to prioritize affordable, world-class education and learning infrastructure for all societal segments.

Currently, the Adani Foundation operates in 6,769 villages across 19 states in India, focusing on various social development projects.
