Chandil Ichagarh – Arvind Kumar Singh, who has been an MLA from Ichagarh constituency three times, filed his nomination as an independent candidate on Thursday with much fanfare at the Chandil SDO office. A nomination rally and public meeting were also organized in Chouka, where a large crowd gathered. The crowd was chanting slogans in favor of MLA Arvind Kumar Singh.
As an independent candidate, Arvind Kumar Singh said that he has been serving the people of the Ichagarh constituency for the last 35 years. In 1994, when diarrhea was spreading aggressively, he brought a team of doctors to the area and set up a camp. Whether it was the construction of the Tikar bridge or any other bridges in the constituency, all were built under his leadership.
Arvind Kumar Singh said that leaders may come and go in the region, but the people should never lose hope. Today, members of other parties talk about “outsiders” and “insiders,” but the public needs to understand who truly stands with them during their times of suffering.
No marriages were arranged for the daughters of Tikar village due to the absence of a bridge.
Arvind Kumar Singh stated that there was a time when the daughters of Tikar village could not get married due to the lack of a bridge. After becoming an MLA, the first thing he did was construct the Tikar bridge. Additionally, he laid a network of PCC roads in the village. Today, people are happy. Across the entire constituency, he has built more than 30 small and large bridges.
As an independent candidate, Arvind Kumar Singh said that he believes in service, not politics. Today, people from other parties are provoking each other to play political games and misleading the public. The rally in Ichagarh was filled with slogans such as, “Ichagarh’s lion is like Arvind Kumar Singh,” and “Brother Arvind Kumar Singh will win from Ichagarh constituency.”
Speakers at the rally said that the BJP’s higher leaders had sold the Ichagarh Assembly seat, betraying the people of Ichagarh. The BJP workers were so angry that they openly declared their determination to send Arvind Kumar Singh to the Jharkhand Assembly this time. A large number of BJP supporters were present at the rally, expressing their anger at the decision of the party leadership. The massive crowd of over ten thousand people signaled that Arvind Kumar Singh’s victory as an independent candidate from Ichagarh was certain.
