Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh : Rising violence against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh has dealt a severe blow to humanity and democratic values. Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) has taken a firm stance against these incidents, launching a campaign to demand justice and raise the issue on international platforms.
The MRM, under the guidance of senior RSS leader and founder Dr. Indresh Kumar, has declared December 10–16 as Human Rights Week, organizing nationwide protests to condemn atrocities against Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh.
In this context, MRM activists in Gorakhpur held a protest march, beginning at Baba Mubarak Shah Shaheed’s shrine and culminating at the Collectorate, where a memorandum was submitted to the President and Prime Minister of India.
Yakub Ali, the convenor of MRM’s Gorakh Province, emphasized that Islam is a religion of peace, harmony, and brotherhood. He stated, “The final Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (PBUH), gave the message of peace and brotherhood to the world, and all Muslims must follow his path.”
Eastern Uttar Pradesh co-convenor Mahtab Khan condemned the attacks on minorities in Bangladesh, calling them unfortunate and un-Islamic. “Some individuals are committing violence and injustice in defiance of Islam, tarnishing its reputation. Religious scholars and Ulemas must issue fatwas against such people, boycott them, and clarify that Islam promotes peace and harmony,” he added.
MRM Ulama Cell co-convenor Qari Junaid Ahmad stated that if Muslims truly follow the teachings and morals of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the world will respect them.
Shamim Siddiqui, co-convenor of the Madrasa Cell, said that the current political instability in Bangladesh has led to the oppression of minority communities, which is deeply condemnable.
MRM’s department convenor, Mohammad Wajib Khan Shibu, urged the Indian government to pressurize Bangladesh to stop attacks on Hindu minorities and ensure the protection of temples and communities.
Imran Khan, district convenor from Sant Kabir Nagar, demanded humanitarian aid for the affected Hindu families in Bangladesh.
Many MRM activists participated in the protest to express solidarity with the victims.
