Bagodar, Jharkhand – Apurva Srivastava, a postgraduate student of Hindi literature at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), has been selected for the prestigious Youth Poet Award 2025. She was chosen for this honor due to her impactful and contemporary poetry, which has been featured prominently in leading newspapers and magazines.
The award will be presented during the 12th Youth Poet Conference on December 8 in New Delhi, an event organized by the Indian Academy of Young Poets. This conference will witness the presence of esteemed poets and writers from across India.
Apurva hails from Harharpur village in the Giridih district of Jharkhand. She credits her father, journalist Hariprakash Tiwari, for her literary achievements and has dedicated this award to him, her family, and her teachers for their guidance and encouragement.
The selection committee praised her work for its deep emotions and modern sensibilities, which resonate with contemporary readers. This award, instituted in 2014, aims to recognize and encourage young talent in Hindi literature.
