On Friday, the Bihar state cabinet, in a significant meeting, approved several key decisions, including the renaming of Gaya city to “Gaya Ji” — a move acknowledging the city’s deep religious and cultural significance.

In another major development, the cabinet also addressed concerns related to Operation Sindoor, where several soldiers laid down their lives in the line of duty. The state government has announced a compensation of ₹50 lakh as ex gratia relief for the families of martyred soldiers

These decisions reflect the government’s commitment to honoring cultural heritage and providing substantial support to the families of national heroes.
