Bihar Police  and #SSB Jointly Crack Down on Fake Currency Smuggling in Madhubani

In a joint operation, Bihar Police and the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) arrested a smuggler involved in counterfeit currency trade in the Jaynagar police station area of Madhubani district.

The authorities seized ₹2,200 in genuine Indian currency, ₹23,300 in fake Indian currency, and ₹53,000 in counterfeit Nepali currency during the operation.

This crackdown highlights the ongoing efforts of Bihar Police and security agencies to curb illegal activities along the Indo-Nepal border. The arrested individual is being interrogated for further leads on the counterfeit currency network.

The Home Department and the Information & Public Relations Department of the Government of Bihar, along with Madhubani Police, reiterated their commitment to ensuring law and order in the state.
