The Bombay High Court is scheduled to hear a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on February 19, 2025, seeking a deeper investigation into the deaths of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and his former manager, Disha Salian. The petition demands the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrest and interrogate Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aditya Thackeray in connection with the two cases, which have remained controversial since 2020.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020, six days after Disha Salian’s death on June 8, 2020. While initial reports suggested suicide, doubts persist, and the investigation is ongoing.
In an interview with ANI, Sushant’s father, K.K. Singh, expressed hope for justice under the current Maharashtra government. He believes that the truth will eventually emerge and that the court will deliver justice.
The PIL, filed by Rashid Khan Pathan, President of the Supreme Court & High Court Litigants Association of India, calls for the arrest and custodial interrogation of Aditya Thackeray, alleging a link to the two deaths.
As the hearing approaches, the case continues to draw significant public attention, with many seeking closure and justice for the late actor and his former manager.
