New Delhi: Chirag Paswan, Union Minister and National President of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), chaired a meeting of the Project Approval Committee (PAC) under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) today. The meeting was held under the Integrated Cold Chain and Value Addition Infrastructure Scheme.

During the session, various proposals related to the establishment of multi-product food irradiation units were discussed. Chirag Paswan emphasized that this initiative is a significant step toward strengthening food safety, preservation, and value addition in the food processing sector.

Taking to social media, Paswan shared, “Chaired the PAC meeting today under MoFPI’s Integrated Cold Chain and Value Addition Infrastructure Scheme to discuss proposals for setting up multi-product food irradiation units.”

The government sees this move as a crucial part of its efforts to modernize agricultural and food processing infrastructure across the country.
