Thanjavur, India – Union Minister Chirag Paswan inaugurated the Food Processing Business Incubation Center at the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Management (NIFTEM) in Thanjavur today. The center aims to empower startups, entrepreneurs, and small farmers by providing state-of-the-art facilities for research, innovation, and value addition in the food sector.
The initiative is expected to enhance India’s food value chain by integrating small farmers and strengthening the country’s position as a global food processing hub. Speaking at the event, Paswan emphasized the importance of modern technology and R&D in transforming the food processing industry and boosting economic growth.
This incubation center will serve as a catalyst for the food industry, fostering entrepreneurship and supporting the government’s vision of making India a leader in food production and exports.
