AAP MLAs protested during Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena’s address, objecting to the removal of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s portraits from the Chief Minister’s Office.
Amid the uproar, Speaker Vijender Gupta suspended Leader of Opposition Atishi and 12 other AAP MLAs for the entire day. Following their suspension, Atishi, along with other legislators, staged a sit-in protest.
