In Jamshedpur, a loaded dumper sank into the muddy surface on the Baradwari to Kashidih stretch of Straight Mile Road, due to loose and soaked soil caused by continuous rainfall.
Locals reported that water accumulation on the road hides potholes, making it difficult for drivers to judge the surface. The dumper driver reportedly mistook the water-filled ditch for a solid road and the vehicle got stuck in the slushy mud.
Such incidents are becoming increasingly common during the monsoon, highlighting the need for greater caution while driving. The public is advised to stay alert and drive slowly in waterlogged areas.
Authorities are urged to place warning signs and ensure timely road repairs to prevent such mishaps and ensure public safety.
