Jamshedpur, Jan 24: The business community of Singhbhum bid an emotional farewell to former Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) president and prominent industrialist Ashok Bhalotia. He was laid to rest at Parvati Ghat on Friday, with hundreds of family members, friends, and colleagues gathering to honor his legacy.
Bhalotia’s mortal remains were brought to the SCCI building, where members, office bearers, and well-wishers paid floral tributes. SCCI President Vijay Anand Moonka, while leading the homage, expressed profound sorrow and said, “Ashok Bhalotia was not just a leader but a guiding light for all of us. His contributions to the business community are unparalleled. We have lost a mentor and a guardian.”
Tributes from Business Leaders
Former SCCI presidents Muralidhar Kedia, Vijay Mehta, and Nirmal Kabra joined other dignitaries in honoring the late leader. Office bearers, including Vice President Anil Modi, Advocate Rajiv Agarwal, Puneet Kauntia, Abhishek Agarwal (Goldy), Secretary Anshul Ringsia, Treasurer CA Anil Ringsia, and others, also paid their respects.
During his two consecutive terms as SCCI President (2017–2021), Ashok Bhalotia played a pivotal role in advancing the Chamber’s activities and implemented impactful initiatives for the growth of the business community. President Moonka highlighted Bhalotia’s immense dedication, calling him a selfless and tireless worker for the upliftment of entrepreneurs.
A Legacy Remembered
Former President Muralidhar Kedia described him as a man of simplicity and selflessness, always prioritizing the welfare of the business fraternity. He said, “His demise is an irreparable loss for the SCCI family.”
