To facilitate the movement of pilgrims during the Mahakumbh, the Uttar Pradesh Roadways department will operate 550 free shuttle buses across Prayagraj. These buses will run 24/7 on 10 major routes during significant bathing festivals. On regular days, the service will extend to 17 routes, connecting urban and rural areas.
For the first time, shuttle services will operate from Dariyabad to Govindpur and from the airport to Bangar Dharamshala. Other key routes include:
- Puramufti to Lal Gopalganj
- Shantipuram to Raymond Naini
- Shantipuram to Rampur Chauraha (via Pratapgarh Road)
- Shantipuram to Shankargarh
- Puramufti to Phulpur
- Darganj to Bisauna
- Hanuman Temple (Civil Lines) to Durvasa Ashram
- Leprosy Naini to Chakghat
- Govindpur to Durvasa Ashram (via Hanumanganj)
- Sahson to Phaphamau (via Ring Road)
Additionally, buses will operate from Phaphamau to Handia (via Kakra Dubawal) and other areas. The initiative ensures convenient and efficient transportation for pilgrims traveling to the Sangam during the Mahakumbh.
