Gujarat Police Crack Down on Illegal Bangladeshi Settlements Near Chandola Lake After Pahalgam Attack

In the wake of the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack, Gujarat Police has intensified its crackdown on illegal immigrants across the state. As part of this operation, police forces have targeted unauthorized Bangladeshi settlements near Chandola Lake in Ahmedabad.

Following the detention of over 1,000 Bangladeshi nationals from Surat and Ahmedabad, authorities have now launched a large-scale demolition drive in the Chandola Lake area. The operation involves 50 JCB machines and 30 MCC dumpers, actively clearing out the encroachments and leveling the settlement.

This action is part of a broader security measure to identify and deport illegal refugees who may pose a threat to national security. Officials have stated that the operation will continue until all unauthorized encampments are cleared, and proper legal procedures are followed for deportation.
