IIT ISM Dhanbad Student Bags Record Package of ₹1.26 Crore, To Join Amazon Japan in August

Saurav Shakti, a student of the Mineral and Metallurgical Engineering department at IIT ISM Dhanbad, has secured a record-breaking job offer of ₹1.26 crore per annum. This is the highest package ever received by any student at the institute. The offer comes from global tech giant Amazon for a role based in Japan, and Saurav is expected to join in August.

Originally from Forbesganj in Araria district of Bihar, Saurav completed his schooling there. His father, Sushil Kumar, is a brick kiln businessman. Speaking about his journey, Saurav credited his family’s support, including his parents, grandparents, uncles, and siblings. His brother and sister are currently preparing for medical entrance exams.
