Jamshedpur police conducted raids in the Ulidih and MGM police station areas, uncovering an illegal drug trade being operated under the guise of medical shops. Three individuals involved in the racket were arrested during the operation. SSP Kishore Kaushal disclosed the details of the crackdown during a press conference held at Ulidih police station.
The SSP revealed that interrogations of the arrested individuals are underway, and raids are being conducted to apprehend others connected to the racket. The seized drugs are estimated to be worth around ₹25 lakh.
The police have taken strict action against this illicit trade being run under the cover of medical shops. They have also urged local residents to report any information about such illegal activities to the authorities immediately.
