Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been entrusted with an important role in the upcoming 2024 Jharkhand Assembly elections. He has been designated as the brand ambassador for the state during this election. Dhoni is set to take part in the Election Commission’s awareness initiative, SWEEP, where he will also encourage voters to exercise their voting rights. This announcement was made by K. Ravi Kumar, the Chief Electoral Officer of Jharkhand.
K. Ravi Kumar remarked, “Renowned cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni will engage in the Election Commission’s SWEEP program for the Jharkhand Assembly elections. He has formally communicated this to the Election Commission, and his image will be featured in various SWEEP activities.”
He further noted, “Dhoni’s call to action for voters to participate in greater numbers is expected to boost voter turnout. He will work closely with the Chief Electoral Officer’s office in Jharkhand to aid the voter awareness campaign. The association of such a celebrated figure is likely to enhance the impact of the voter awareness effort.”
