In a historic moment, Shri Mangni Lal Mandal has been unanimously elected as the President of the Bihar RJD. On this occasion, Tejashwi Yadav congratulated him by offering sweets. This marks the first time in Bihar’s political history that any party has appointed a state president from the Extremely Backward Class (EBC).
Previously, the RJD has appointed state presidents from Scheduled Castes, Muslim, OBC, and Upper Caste communities. With this development, the RJD becomes the first party to give representation to all major social groups, including the EBCs, by appointing a senior and experienced socialist leader like Mangni Lal Mandal as state president.
It is worth noting that RJD is the first and only party in India to have implemented internal organizational reservations for Dalits and EBCs. RJD doesn’t just talk about social justice—it lives it.
There is not just hope but firm belief that under the dynamic leadership of Mangni Lal Mandal, the RJD Bihar unit will reach new heights.
The contribution of outgoing President Jagdanand Singh was also praised. His tenure will be remembered for the positive and qualitative transformation he brought, executing his responsibilities with unmatched dedication, discipline, and commitment—even at the age of 85.
