A massive fire broke out on an electric pole near Manoj Store on Mango Gurdwara Road, creating panic in the area. The incident is being attributed to the poor-quality PVC cables recently installed in place of the old wires.
Local residents immediately informed former BJP leader Vikas Singh, who attempted to alert the junior engineer by calling him three times. However, the junior engineer did not respond. Singh then contacted the assistant engineer, who responded on the first attempt and promptly initiated a rescue operation.
Vikas Singh stated that the PVC cables used in recent days were of substandard quality, and this negligence led to the dangerous fire incident. He demanded accountability from the responsible department to prevent such hazards in the future.
