The Tata Motors Workers Union concluded its peaceful elections for 85 committee members and 25 office bearers on November 26, 2024, ahead of the current term’s end on December 31, 2024. The voting process, held under strict CCTV surveillance, saw 121 eligible candidates contest, with 52 members elected unopposed.

Notable appointments include Gurmeet Singh Tote and RK Singh, re-elected as union leaders, and Bharti Rani, the first woman assistant secretary in the union’s history. Other key positions went to SN Singh (Vice President), Manoj Kumar Singh (Treasurer), and Deepak Kumar (Assistant Secretary).

While several first-time members joined, prominent outgoing leaders, such as Assistant Secretary Lal Babu Prasad, lost by narrow margins. The newly elected leadership, representing 5,516 employees, begins its term from November 27, 2024, to 2027.
