Bhubaneswar, Jan 30, 2025 – Odisha has received investment proposals worth ₹8,153 crore for 121 projects, reflecting strong confidence in the state’s tourism and hospitality potential. The investments span multiple sectors, with a notable focus on developing MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) infrastructure and wedding tourism.

A key highlight of the Sectoral Tourism Session was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Odisha Tourism and the National Council of Science Museums. This partnership aims to enrich Odisha’s museum landscape by developing new museums, enhancing the state’s cultural tourism sector.

The investments align with Odisha’s vision of becoming a premier tourism destination by leveraging its rich heritage, scenic beauty, and modern infrastructure development. The government continues to encourage domestic and international investors to explore business opportunities in the state’s rapidly growing tourism sector.
