In a major crackdown on corruption, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team in Jharkhand arrested a senior clerk red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000. The incident took place on Monday in the Seraikela-Kharsawan district.

The accused, Kshetra Mohan Mahato, is posted as a senior clerk in the Rural Development Department. Acting on a complaint, ACB officials conducted a trap and caught him while accepting the bribe. He is currently being interrogated by the ACB team.

This operation marks a significant step in the state’s ongoing efforts to curb corruption within government departments.
