Special Medical Arrangements at Railway Stations for Mahakumbh 2025 

Indian Railways has made special medical arrangements at Prayagraj railway stations to ensure the health and safety of pilgrims during Mahakumbh 2025. These include 24×7 observation rooms for providing immediate and effective medical services in case of emergencies. In the previous Mahakumbh, over 1 lakh pilgrims received primary medical aid, and this year, the railways are prepared to cater to an even larger number of passengers with enhanced medical facilities. 

Special Medical Services.. 
Observation rooms have been set up at Prayagraj Junction, Subedarganj, Naini Junction, and Prayagraj Chheoki stations. These rooms will be staffed round the clock by doctors and medical personnel equipped with essential medical tools to provide timely treatment. 

Modern Medical Equipment 
The observation rooms and other medical centers will be equipped with: 
– ECG Machines: For rapid diagnosis of heart-related issues. 
– Defibrillators: To restore normal heart function in case of cardiac arrest. 
– Oxygen Concentrators: To address oxygen deficiency. 
– Glucometers: For measuring blood sugar levels, crucial for diabetic patients. 

Deployment of Medical Staff
To ensure smooth operations, medical staff will be deployed at key stations, including: 
– Staff Nurses: 15 
– Pharmacists: 12 
– Hospital Attendants (HA): 12 
– Housekeeping Assistants (HKA): 15 

These teams will work in 8-hour shifts to provide continuous medical services throughout the day and night. 

24×7 Medical Services 
Railway stations will have round-the-clock medical assistance. Pilgrims requiring medical attention will receive immediate primary care, with coordination from railway hospitals and health centers to refer serious cases if necessary.
