The Jharkhand State Housing Board has initiated action against former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s residence in the Harmu area of Ranchi. The Board’s chairman, Sanjay Lal Paswan, stated on Friday that commercial activities are illegal in residential zones. He explained that the land allocated by the board can only be used for residential purposes.

The issue came to light after a complaint was received about a laboratory being set up at Dhoni’s residence. Paswan confirmed that an investigation has been ordered to determine how Dhoni’s residence was allocated, and if any commercial activity is taking place, appropriate action will be taken.

The Board made it clear that strict action will be taken against anyone found violating the rules.
