Ranchi, May 13, 2025: Acting on a tip-off, Ranchi Police today arrested a key member of the banned extremist outfit Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC). The arrest was made following a special raid near Kandare Mor under the Burmu police station limits.
The arrested individual, identified as Govind Mahato, is reportedly an active member of the squad led by TSPC Sub-Zonal Commander Arvind Ji. During the operation, police recovered a mobile phone and banned pamphlets linked to the TSPC organization from his possession.
According to police sources, Govind Mahato has been involved in several incidents of arson and firing in various police station areas across Ranchi district, including Burmu, Patratu, Ormanjhi, and Thakurgaon.
Authorities are currently interrogating the suspect, and further legal action is underway.
