Two Youths Arrested During Helmet Checking in Mango, Clash with Traffic Police

A heated altercation broke out between traffic police and two youths during a helmet-checking drive in the Mango area of Jamshedpur around 4 p.m. on Wednesday. The incident escalated when the scooty riders, who were stopped for not wearing helmets, started arguing with the policemen, leading to a physical clash.

According to eyewitnesses, the traffic police stopped the duo and allegedly slapped them, which angered the youths. The situation worsened when the police confiscated the scooty’s key, prompting one of the youths to clap mockingly at the officers, further intensifying the dispute.

Following the scuffle, the police arrested both individuals. The incident has drawn attention to police-public relations and the enforcement of traffic rules in the city.
