Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has addressed rumors about his retirement from Test cricket. Speaking on Star Sports, Rohit made it clear that he has no plans to retire anytime soon.

Rohit stated, “I’m not retiring soon. I decided to step back from this match because I wasn’t scoring runs. I’ll work hard and make a comeback. Just because I’m not scoring now doesn’t mean I won’t score in five months.”

The “Hitman” emphasized that stepping aside from this Test match is not a sign of retirement or moving away from the format. He added, “What anyone writes or says on mics, pens, or laptops doesn’t matter. They can’t decide for us. I made this decision after coming to Sydney. Yes, I’m not scoring runs currently, but there’s no guarantee that I won’t score in two or six months. I’m mature enough to know what I’m doing.”

Rohit’s firm statement dismisses speculation and reinforces his determination to return stronger to international cricket.
