West Singhbhum, Jharkhand – March 17: In a tragic incident, four children were burnt alive while playing near a house that caught fire in Geetilip village under the Jagannathpur police station area. The devastating fire broke out around 10 AM on Monday, claiming the lives of the children, including a brother and sister.
According to the police, the fire spread rapidly, engulfing the area where the children were playing in the pual (a stack of dry straw). Despite efforts to contain the blaze, the children could not be rescued in time.
Local authorities and police rushed to the spot and recovered the charred bodies, which were later sent for postmortem. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
This heartbreaking incident has left the village in shock, with residents mourning the untimely deaths of the young victims.
