The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has instructed all states to conduct a nationwide mock drill on May 7, aimed at testing the readiness and effectiveness of the civil defence system.

The key components of the drill include:

Air raid sirens being sounded

Self-defence training for civilians and students

Implementation of a crash blackout plan

Securing critical locations through camouflage and timely action

Updating and practicing safe evacuation plans

The exercise is designed to enhance preparedness for emergencies and ensure coordinated response among civil defence teams and citizens.
