In a significant operation, the Bihar Police’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, in collaboration with local NGOs Swachh Seva Samiti (Raxaul) and Prayas Juvenile Aid Centre (East Champaran), successfully thwarted a human trafficking scheme in the Raxaul area of East Champaran district. The coordinated effort led to the arrest of seven traffickers and the rescue of two women from their captivity.

The operation also resulted in the seizure of a four-wheeler vehicle and other incriminating materials used in the trafficking activities. This decisive action underscores the Bihar Police’s commitment to combating human trafficking and safeguarding vulnerable individuals.

Authorities have emphasized the importance of community vigilance and collaboration in identifying and preventing such illicit activities. The rescued women are currently receiving necessary support and rehabilitation services.
