Ahead of Eid, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched the “Saugat-e-Modi” campaign, aiming to distribute special kits to 32 lakh underprivileged Muslim families across India. These kits contain essentials such as vermicelli, dates, dry fruits, flour, sugar, and clothing, ensuring that beneficiaries can celebrate Eid without financial hardship.
As part of the initiative, 32,000 BJP Minority Morcha workers are distributing these kits through 32,000 mosques, with each mosque catering to 100 beneficiaries. (Bhaskar)
BJP claims that the campaign is aimed at welfare and economic upliftment of the Muslim community. However, opposition parties have criticized the move, calling it an electoral strategy ahead of the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. (Jansatta)
