A clash erupted between two groups in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, over the use of loudspeakers during Shivratri celebrations. Stone-pelting incidents occurred, but the station in-charge and police personnel narrowly escaped harm.
The rioters set fire to a Baleno car and two motorcycles. In response, the police turned the entire village into a security zone to restore order. Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the violence.
