Hotels Generating Over 100 Kg of Waste Must Install Composters Within 15 Days 

Jamshedpur, Jharkhand : In preparation for the Swachh Survekshan 2024, the JNAC, MNAC and Jugsalai Municipal Corporation has directed all hotels, banquet halls, and restaurants producing more than 100 kilograms of wet waste daily to install composting machines. The move is aimed at ensuring better waste management and improving the city’s cleanliness rankings. 

Failure to comply within 15 days will result in strict action against defaulters. The civic body has already issued notices to several establishments and warned them of penalties if they do not adhere to the guidelines. The collected waste will be processed into compost, reducing landfill pressure and promoting sustainable practices. 

This initiative aligns with the broader goal of making waste management more efficient while encouraging businesses to adopt eco-friendly solutions.
