Jharkhand Health Minister Dr Irfan Ansari Inaugurates Workshop on Ayushman Bharat and State Health Schemes in Ranchi

Ranchi: Jharkhand Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari inaugurated a one-day workshop organized under the Ayushman Bharat-Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana at Hotel BNR Chanakya in Ranchi. The event commenced with a ceremonial lamp-lighting, followed by Dr. Ansari’s address to the attendees.

In his speech, Dr. Ansari emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening the state’s healthcare system. “Improving health infrastructure is our government’s and the health department’s top priority,” he said. “Our entire team is working tirelessly to provide quality healthcare to the people, and we will not hesitate to take tough decisions if needed.”

He highlighted that a healthy Jharkhand can only be achieved when every citizen is healthy—from rural to urban areas. “Ensuring quality health services across all regions is our responsibility,” he added. “We are driven by the spirit of service, and that motivates us to perform better.”

Dr. Ansari also issued a stern warning to private hospitals, urging them to stop harassing patients under the guise of treatment. “If reports of unnecessary harassment reach the government, strict action will be taken,” he asserted.

The minister reiterated the state’s goal to make government hospitals more efficient and better equipped than private ones. He mentioned that the government is providing all necessary resources to state-run hospitals to improve services. He also encouraged healthcare professionals to enhance their skills and performance, assuring that those who perform well will be recognized, while those who compromise the system will face action.

Additionally, Dr. Ansari instructed district hospitals to ensure necessary arrangements to handle the summer heat, so that patients and their families face no discomfort.

He concluded by emphasizing that beneficiaries must receive the full benefits of health insurance under the Ayushman Bharat, Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya, and Abua Swasthya Suraksha schemes. “Under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the vision for a developed Jharkhand can only be realized by ensuring the health and well-being of every citizen,” he stated.
