Giridih  A meeting to review the progress and standards of aspirational districts and blocks was held at the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Union Minister of State, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri B.L. Verma. 

During the session, the Deputy Development Commissioner presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation (PPT) on various schemes being implemented in the district. The department-wise updates on development initiatives were discussed, covering key areas such as: 

#Key Focus Areas 
1. Health and Nutrition: 
   – Monitoring teacher attendance through the e-Vidya Vahini platform. 
   – Regular ANC check-ups and updates on MTC centers. 
   – Identification and management of SAM/MAM severely malnourished children through screening. 

2. Agriculture and Water Resources: 
   – Progress in irrigation and agricultural support schemes. 

3. Financial Inclusion and Skill Development: 
   – Efforts to enhance economic opportunities and skill training for rural populations. 

4. Infrastructure Development: 
   – Expanding electricity supply to rural areas. 
   – Reviewing the progress of the Har Ghar Nal Se Jal initiative. 

5. Sanitation and Housing: 
   – Implementation of toilets in all schools and rural households. 
   – Progress of PM Awas Yojana for housing. 

6. Technology and Connectivity: 
   – Ensuring internet connectivity in every panchayat. 

7. Drinking Water and Ayushman Bharat: 
   – Ensuring clean drinking water and effective utilization of Ayushman Bharat facilities. 

The meeting also reviewed progress under schemes like PM Awas Yojana, infrastructure development, and various social welfare initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life in rural areas. 

This comprehensive review highlights the district’s commitment to achieving developmental benchmarks and ensuring the success of government schemes for the welfare of its citizens.
