Google has announced significant leadership changes in its India operations by appointing Preeti Lobana as the new Vice President and Country Manager. She succeeds Sanjay Gupta, who has been elevated to the position of President for Google’s Asia Pacific operations. 

Preeti Lobana brings decades of experience in technology and business management. She has previously led global teams in driving innovation in advertising solutions, operational processes, and quality management. 

In her new role, Lobana will focus on shaping Google’s strategies in India, with a strong emphasis on expanding the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Her responsibilities include overseeing Google’s core products like Ads, Cloud, and YouTube while strengthening partnerships with businesses, government organizations, and local communities. 

This leadership change highlights Google’s commitment to fostering diversity and innovation in one of its key markets. Lobana aims to leverage AI and digital technologies to drive productivity and economic growth in India. 

Sanjay Gupta, now leading Google’s Asia Pacific division, expressed confidence in Lobana’s ability to lead Google’s operations in India, emphasizing the importance of the country’s unique digital ecosystem in shaping the future of technology.
