Patna: Bihar’s main opposition party, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has strongly opposed the ‘One Nation, One Election’ bill introduced in the Lok Sabha. Party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav criticized the bill, calling it an attack on the country’s constitutional framework.

Tejashwi Yadav stated that the proposal undermines the federal structure and democratic spirit of the nation. He urged opposition parties to unite against the bill, emphasizing that it could centralize power and dilute regional autonomy.

The RJD has vowed to continue its resistance to the bill, labeling it a move that prioritizes political convenience over democratic values.

This development has sparked heated debates in Bihar and across the political spectrum.
