In a visit to Khuntadih locality of Sonari, Saryu Roy witnessed a large gathering of women raising concerns over essential services, particularly the severe water shortage in the area. Residents voiced frustration, stating that issues like broken roads, inadequate electricity, and water supply have remained unresolved for the past five years.

Roy assured the residents that he would address the water issue by coordinating with JUSCO (TSUISL) and seek support from JBVNL for swift solutions to the electricity problems. He noted that in some areas, the lack of proper electric poles has forced people to draw wires over neighbors’ houses. He also recalled that he had once arranged water facilities for these communities through the “Jal Satyagraha,” but the situation has only worsened over the years.
