Sukesh Kumar, a mechanical engineering graduate from the 2020 batch of Sitamarhi Institute of Technology (SIT), Dumra, Bihar, has been selected for the Department of Atomic Energy’s Stipendiary Training Scheme (Category One).
His training will take place at the Nuclear Fuel Complex in Hyderabad.
The two-year program includes six months of classroom instruction followed by 18 months of practical training.
During the training, Sukesh will receive a monthly stipend of ₹24,000 in the first year and ₹26,000 in the second year, along with accommodation and educational materials provided by the department.
Upon successful completion, he will be appointed as an Assistant Scientist with a monthly salary of ₹4.49 lakh.
This achievement marks the first time an SIT student has been selected for this prestigious department, bringing pride to the institution and serving as an inspiration for other students.
