XLRI Jamshedpur celebrated Diwali on 31st October 2024, with festivities that radiated joy and unity throughout the campus. Students gathered to celebrate the festival by releasing sky lanterns into the night sky, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere that illuminated the surroundings.
The regional committee, COWBAXI, representing states including Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh, organized a soulful pooja ceremony. This event highlighted the cultural richness of Diwali and brought the XLRI community closer, fostering a sense of unity and shared tradition.
Adding to the festivities, the CII-YI, XLRI Jamshedpur chapter, hosted a Silent Auction, an innovative fundraising event where students, faculty, and staff participated in silent bidding. The items up for auction were generously donated by the XLRI community, and the funds raised were directed to the Friends of Tribals Society to support their initiatives for underprivileged communities. The unique format of the Silent Auction sparked enthusiastic and competitive participation, generating significant support for a meaningful cause.
XLRI Jamshedpur expressed gratitude to all who contributed, making Diwali 2024 a truly memorable celebration filled with love, happiness, and the spirit of giving.
