Amit Shah Extends Greetings on Maharashtra and Gujarat Day, Highlights States’ Role in Nation Building

Union Home Minister Amit Shah marked Maharashtra and Gujarat Day with a message of pride and unity, stating that the people of both states are celebrating the occasion with great enthusiasm. Speaking at a cultural gathering held in New Delhi to commemorate the day, Shah emphasized the historical and ongoing contributions of Maharashtra and Gujarat to India’s progress.

“From the Bhakti movement to the freedom struggle, and from defending Swaraj, Swadharma, and Swabhasha to paving the path of social reform, Maharashtra and Gujarat have played a vital role,” Shah said. He added that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, citizens of both states will continue to play a key role in building a developed and self-reliant India.
