Aizawl: In a significant joint operation, the Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police have seized heroin and methamphetamine tablets valued at over ₹86 crore. The operation, aimed at curbing the drug menace in the region, led to the arrest of two individuals involved in the illicit trade.
Authorities have not disclosed the exact location of the operation but confirmed that a substantial quantity of heroin and meth pills was confiscated. This successful operation underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat drug trafficking in the Northeast.
Investigations are underway to identify other members of the drug network and curb the trafficking routes.
