Bihar Police  Police Warns Against Fake ‘Digital Arrest’ Calls, Urges Public to Stay Alert

Bihar Police has issued a public advisory clarifying that there is no legal provision called “digital arrest.” Citizens are urged to remain cautious of fake audio or video calls that falsely claim legal actions and demand personal information.

The police have emphasized not to respond to such fraudulent calls and to refrain from sharing any private details. Alertness and awareness, they said, are key to protecting oneself from cyber scams.

This message has been shared widely by multiple district police units including Buxar, Kishanganj, Saran, Aurangabad, and Saharsa, in collaboration with Cyber Dost and the Home Department of Bihar.
